duplicates? Bug #957843 is about data loss (and none of the devs seems
to care -- man am I happy I left ecryptfs for good), whereas in this bug
people are discussing whether this or that fix might or might not result
in data loss.
You should be able to close the project without any problems. Not an
ideal workaround but better than editing the kilerc by hand.

Yep Martin, this is the reason why I moved away from ecryptfs. It's
dangerous and alpha and should not be used productively by anyone. Use a
LUKS encrypted partition on $HOME/Private with pam_mount. With an LVM
you can even grow it, albeit not automatically.

Sorry, this bug probably still exists, the permission problem from that
other bug seems to be fixed though. I fixed it myself a long time ago so
please keep us in the loop if/when you do something about is. The fix is
a piece of cake really, so there's little excuse not to just do it
before lunch
There's an updated crystalhd-dkms package whose changelog says something
about a udev rule having been added. I assume this bug can be closed as
fixed, although I didn't disable my own rule and reboot to confirm.

I should add that a logout/relogin is also sufficient to reset the sudo
capability. Also, for anyone else affected: the only workaround I could
come up with is a sudo bash directly after login and do everything you
need root for from there. That way you don't have to log out when this

Luis, thanks for the hint, it never occured to me that WoL could affect
a machine that is already awake. Anyway, I did some more and more
caruful measurements using powerstat and after these it seems that the
problem is with powertop after all. Sorry for the mistake.

I am running PowerTOP 1.97 beta 1 on Lubuntu Precise. There are three
reported devices called Display backlight on my Samsung N220 with a
Pixel Qi display. I made a couple of measurements to figure out what

Just wanted to add that this also means updating the oberdiek bundle in
texlive-latex-base or else luatex.sty will be outdated. Maybe other
packages as well, that's just were I'm stuck currently with an
Undefined control sequence. argument \filename that I can't trace
down.

When I try to save the VPN configuration, I get a gnome-keyring prompt
that tells me that an application is trying to create a keyring called
Default. I get this dialog twice (user pass and group pass if I had to
guess) each time I try to save those passwords again. It seems said
