not sure this is my bug actually.
I have an audio problem (no sound at all, never had any sound from
internal hardware, once had sound from headphones only). I also get a
repeating crash report that relates to audio elements.

I am having the exact same issue. 14.04 64 bits, ipod 2nd gen 32GB.
I open rhythmbox click on my ipod then it crashes.
I tried Banshee and the exact same thing happens.
So its probably some library used by both programs :)

I did not have this problem with Ubuntu 11.10, but since installing
12.04, banshee will freeze every time I switch songs or every other
song. It returns control after one to two minutes or so, but happens so
often that it is becoming unusable as my music player.
I noticed
I have not been able to reproduce this in later versions of the software
so I believe it has been addressed.

It works for me. The default style, Cleanlooks, certainly does not play
well with Ambiance theme.
