bug thread all too frequently any more (it's just too depressing). I
just googled for the latest Debian .deb for xpdf, downloaded and
installed it manually using "sudo dpkg -i [packagename.deb]". Which
barfs and complains abou
upstream claims "works for me", but the respective mails don't indicate
that they actually ran ps2pdf (rather than just gs) on the supplied test
files. Even if they did, it would appear that the core dump is seen due
by Ubuntu specific stack protection options.
That makes it likely that upstream

My guess is that it tries to print an error message but the formatting

Since it apparently is compiled with a compatible version of libpoppler
(which is easily available and can be installed alongside the newer

_current_ source package of natty works on my system.
So it would appear that either the distributed binaries were built on a
faulty machine, or the dependencies are incomplete so that the build

I have an IBM Thinkpad T41. For me, the screen under X11 is borked
terminally after suspend. Suspend also would not be an option most of
the time because when I stop working to freeze state, this can be for
quite long, and I don't keep my power supply running while the computer
is off -- a waste
Why is this marked "Invalid"? Bug #611446 has been marked "fix
committed" in _Maverick_. But the bug persists in the current Natty
repositories.
