There isnt a gui method to lock a users account in users-admin in Lucid.
However if you via terminal issue the command sudo usermod -L
(i.e. lock the user account), users-admin correctly displays a button to
re-enable the user account
I know you're trying to make this library better, but hard coding an IP
address is a really poor solution for _enterprise_ software. If the mail
server address changes and a 3ware array has a failure, there's going to
be no notification.

After seeing a few instances of this problem in the past, it's now happening
constantly for me. Java programs get "stuck" in futex_wait." They will resume
after a long wait (minutes) and the CPU runs loaded. This is really inhibiting

Java Aplication freeze with fut
Brian, I can concur with the above. I had tail -f /var/log/messages in
one window and glxgears in another. The reason for glxgears was that I
just needed something that had continuous movement to be displayed.
When the cursor appeared to momentarily freeze, glxgears also stopped.

Further update Brian - I've been running the kernel continuously today.
Whilst the cursor is now visible, there are occasional freezes which
make navigation annoying. For the moment, I'll stick to the rc6 kernel.
Hopefully there will be good news on this front from upstream soon
(here's hoping).

happy to close this - hibernate and resume issues were confirmed as a
jaunty kernel problem - I've since moved to 2.6.30 and these issues have
been resolved.

dup is a "shallow" copy. For a Hash, you'll get a new Hash but with the
keys and values pointing to the same objects.
