Seems to be an update-manager and/or Synaptic issue

reason (namely, screen flashing problem) I uninstalled "nvidia-glx-new"
via "Hardware Drivers", installed Envy and let Envy to choose and

I'm using Xubuntu 8.04 with all regular updates. My system default is
Turkish. When I change the language from Turkish to English (USA), my

1- Start with Turkish language with Turkish being system default; having
several items on the Desktop but having a visible free column at right.

e's something more to be asked please do so soon, because I'm
planning to upgrade to Ubuntu 7.04 and I might not be able to create the
situation again or the outputs of the possible commands from developers
may not work for the situation anymore.

After five months and many standard updates the situation is still the
same. Those 3 false offer appears all the time after updates. The bug
report seems to be "unconfirmed" at the moment; if there's some more
info needed, i can send them as well.
