Oh damn I just notitced that the ppa version is 3.2.2.1 as well. :( (Not Gnome-shell 3.4.) So if the modal + 3.2.2.1 didn't fix it it's either an other problem or it just doesn't work for you. I can't recommend 3.4 as I don't know if it's really stable. Maybe waiting for the next Linux Mint vers

That did not help. I don't know if I made a mistake but the even while testing the command the shell crashed. ;) I copy/paste the line, restarted the shell, opened gedit like in the screenshot to test it and the dialog was not movable on its own. I even tried the command with sudo but the window

I get a lot crashes whenever a program uses the sys tray. The screen is flickering when something is added to it and flickers again when removed. I guess every flickering has a chance to become a crash. :( My solution for now is to remove icons that are not needed. For example I disabled them fo
