Sure. The original complaint was that the Indicator Applet Session
(indicator-session), which replaced the Fast User-Switcher Applet (FUSA)
and the Shutdown Applet, lacks any sort of "preferences" or "settings"
that used to be available for users with the previous applets.

I am also curious if this problem is fully resolved with the proposed
fix, since upstream did not seem convinced that the lyrics plugin was

I feel the bug in Lucid is a regression. I do not have this problem in

I added Rhythmbox to this bug report since at least the player shows up
in nautilus (listed as a regular USB device). However, it is not
properly detected in Rhythmbox unless a .is_audio_player file is placed

My Clip+ product id is 0x74d0, however, even after adding that to the
.fdi file, my player is still not detected. Does adding your product id
to the .fdi file fix this problem for you?

I was also experiencing this bug on a fresh install of Karmic.
According to a suggestion in a forum post, I disabled KMS (by adding
nomodesetting to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in /etc/default/grub), ran
sudo update-grub, rebooted, and now things are working splendidly. Is
KMS somehow at fault here

This experience is actually greatly improved in Karmic from what I
remember in 9.04. I love that an alert pops up after installing samba
informing you that you need to restart your session and it gives you the
option to restart. My issue is that even after clicking the "Restart"
session button, m
