I would bump the importance of this. After a reboot, my machine has no
network connectivity until I login at the actual machine. This is a PITA
for my remotely administered machine, which I normally access via SSH or
RDP. My best workaround is to move this machine to a location where I
can string
It affects me too, on a clean install. Previously, this machine was
running 16.04 that I had upgraded from 15.10. It worked fine with 15.10
and 16.04. Then, I ended up doing a clean install of 16.04, for
unrelated issues, and now I have this problem too.
Once I log in, my wireless autoconnects to
Alberto, how is this invalid? I am still getting this error almost a
month after the initial report. I hate doing an apt-get upgrade and
getting a non-zero result. Why hasn't this package been reverted? Why is
it still in the update/dependency list? The vague answer It severely
affects packages
I tested 3.2.0-31.50 with both x86 and x86-64.
The issue was resolved in both cases.

Were you also able to test the Quantal kernel,
just to confirm it's already fixed there?
No, I don't have a Quantal install setup right now.
I did pull the Quantal kernel, and I confirmed the commit
is already in the master branch.

has been submitted upstream to linux-stable,
or if it will be?
git tag --contains ae662d31
seems to indicate that it first appeared in
linux-stable as of v3.3-rc1.

I had some seg fault using aptitude.
I installed 10.04 beta2 and after upgrade of packages aptitude is working
