I did upgrade to Oneric, and yes the issue still occurs with Oneric, I still
get the green screen when I plug it in, and tweaking of Xorg.conf is to no
avail.

In order to debug
I started the program first with:
Running from the Ubuntu System menu.
What happens is I get 3 policy windows.
1 for starting the app
1 for mounting the usb disk
1 for writing the bootloader
then it fails.

I upgraded to Natty Narhwahl Alpha. But this release is so broken that it
cannot display the Ambiance Theme at all. Just after logging in, it shows the

Yes, the problem is that dkms has to be re-run every day. The module is
not remembered across a reboot.
If you re-read the original bug report I stated:
"every day I have to run /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup because the ubuntu
DKMS package is not doing it's job."

The system does not remember the same module of the same kernel.
Real World situation:
Every day that I go to work I need to run a virtual machine on my laptop.
Every day when I start up the laptop I have to rebuild
answers to the questions:
-Secure or Not Secured
nm-applet (not Network Manager) shows the correct status with a secured network.
I was switching between secured and non secured on the same router using two
SSID's.
I am able to connect both ways so Network Manager works.

When connecting to an unsecured wifi network using the network-manager
nm-applet in the gnome panel the icon shows two computers with a red x
indicating disconnection, even though the network connection is
available and it's possible to us
I appologize, I should have written I 'think' I found the solution.
I just tried on 4 different machines with mixed results.
Note I used my facebook username on all of these tests and not my e-mail
address.

I figured out what it is...
This gave me the clue
Trying to register gtype 'WnckWindowMoveResizeMask' as enum when in fact it is
of type 'GFlags'
gwibber add facebook conflicts with Compiz.
I went to System... Look and Feel... Visual Effects...
chose none
then close
then ope
I was able to add Facebook to gwibber on my laptop which is a fresh
install of Lucid. But on my upgraded PC at home the Add button does not
show up. (see attached screenshot)
I've tried all the suggestions in this bug but none have been succesful.

Using the latest version of Oracle Virtual Box from their repositories, every
day I have to run /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup because the ubuntu DKMS package is
not doing it's job.
This bug also exists using the VirutalBox package from the Ubuntu Repos
