Hi all,
I git-cloned the source and created a quick and dirty patch that should
fix the issue, at least in spots. For me, now I can browse tables
without warnings, and use export functionality.
I am not sure if there are more incompatibilities, but these are the
ones I faced just today.

TBF, I'm not too sure if the 'read all pages from feeder' should work
with a scanner that doesn't have AFD in the first place. However, it
would be nice to have some sort of a sequential scanning mode... Not
proposing invalid, but turning this into an enhancement instead.

I second. However, the UI changes, if we remove a whole element. I
suggest that the bar background was visible, but the handle was
removed. This way the UI location wouldn't change, and the
unscrollability (is that a word?) would be at least a bit more obvious.

updated to 2.9.0 today (yesterday?) and the problem is fixed for me now.
There has been a driver update, -intel is now 2.9.0-based. Could you
update packages, and see if there's any difference? That update fixed
backlight controls for me - works OOTB as expected...

of them makes any difference.

First, having Alt-!, Alt-@ and so on in tabs menu is wrong, and it
doesn't let the user follow the logic 1 for first tab, 2 for second
tab etc., instead it makes the user look for the non-numeric
characters, causing confusion among non-exprerienced users.
Second, have a look at eg. New Tab and
Oh, and the Alt-Shift-F vs. Alt-F matter... The letter is always
capitalised for making it more distinguishable.

The script has been proven to work, for me as well, but I'l like to see
a module parameter for this. Something like
led=[transmit|assoc|radio|off]
would do the job. Also it would be nice if the led would blink only
after, say, 2KiB or 4KiB of data being transmitted/received. IMHO it's

I have the same issue using 8.10 and iwl3945. Netspeed sometimes starts
