We have a few lenovo E14 and T14s at our work. All with Ubuntu cinnamon,
same as this computer, with the same issue.
When we do a restart or a fresh boot, when the laptop is connected to the
wavlink dock, the laptop will not boot (i.e. the screen shows the computer
booting
to the start menu, and click the red
button to shutdown my computer.
I'm sure that the option on ctrl alt end should be the same as the menu
option to shutdown.

this choice. I second what MikeD says: systems with 4-8 GB and just 1 MB
of swap file will freeze quite rapidly with normal home usage (e-mail,
Internet browser, a couple of productivity programs). Really bad

The kernel causing the problem is 5.4.0-42-generic. rolling back to
5.3.0-62-generic eliminated the problem.

from gui, everything I do that requires authorization I've message "you are not
authorized": install package, connect to a network, reboot
however, using console I've no problem
@Tim Abell (comment #18): I also have D-Link DBT-122. AD2P works fine, while I
have no audio in HSP/HFP mode in Xenial. I didn't try the mic, but I bet it
doesn't work either.
On the net I see that the Mac recognize this adapter as a Broadcom BCM2035.
