The error stating org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Un...etworkManager doesn't
exist (as it displays for me) is a separate issue, but not an actual
problem on Ubuntu. It relates to a sort of flight-mode for the OLPC
hardware, disabling the wifi radio. I've logged bug 287028 about that.

There is a dbus error about the OLPC hardware manager not being found,
but that's not relevant.

I don't know what happened, but this got released somehow without the
patch applied to the actual file in the source. I see the patch in the
diff.gz but if I download the deb, psutil.py isn't patched.
(Also, I didn't see anyone actually approve this for release???)

watching for NM. I think upstream should wait for the real patch. Marco
(or Simon?) is planning on working on NM 0.7 for Sugar next week - we

upstream (uwog) and it will probably happen for the next major abiword

Debian do not want to provide the sugar-activities metapackage. In the
hardy packages, this is produced by the sugar sourcepackage.
My intention is to add the metapackage back to debian's sugar package
once we have it synced - unfortunately it is a deviation but a very
minor one.

I'd also question calling it a window manager when it depends on
matchbox, but that's more something to report to Debian.

Some time ago I read an article about terminator, with a download link. The
download link turned out to be for the package in hardy/universe, and it would
not install on gutsy because it depended on a newer python-central. I

When exporting to PDF from openOffice.org Word Processor, most of the
text does not render on the resulting dialog box.
Removing openoffice.org-l10n-en-za and keeping openoffice.org-l10n-en-gb
solves the problem - the text does

If I unplug AC to my laptop, and leave it idle to go into the

Let me state my experience again which corresponds to the bug status in
the different kernel versions for Dapper, Edgy and Feisty:
Dapper could not power off or reboot for me. (Sony Vaio VGN-S460)
Edgy could reboot but not power off for me.
Feisty can reboot and can power off - fixed for me.
Is this scenario not a candidate for some update-manager magic? Could
one detect the fact that this package is selected in Edgy's
alternatives, and then select it in Feisty's alternatives with the new
path or via update-alternatives?

I have the same issue, I think. Shutdown is similar to a reboot - the
computer appears to power off completely, but a second later it boots up
again. Hibernate does the same.
This is on a platform we hope to hardware certify for Feisty - if we can
solve this problem.
