Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: libghc6-haskelldb-dev
The package libghc6-haskelldb-dev is not installable on Ubuntu 7.10. The
error message I get is:
libghc6-haskelldb-dev: Depends: ghc6 ( 6.6+) but 6.6.1-2ubuntu2 is to be
installed
E: Broken packages
Reinstalling ghc6 didn't help.
I can confirm both the bug and Michael Elkins's workaround.

I don't think the first is really a bug; aptitude automatically fetches
recommended packages, which dwm happens to be. Try the following command
instead:
sudo aptitude --without-recommends install wmii

I'm running an up-to-date, minimal install of Ubuntu 7.10 (installed a
commandline system, then installed packages xorg, slim, wmii)

With more recent packages (Edgy and up-to-date Dapper), the forcedeth

still prefer to use the nvnet driver, but it's no longer worth the extra
hassle to keep it up to date.

This behavior persists in Kubuntu Edgy (AMD64). There is no keyboard

pretty sure this is an issue with the Moodin KSplash engine, which GNOME
