If I open a image it loads it at the default zoom. The cursor anywhere
in the window is the hand usually assosiated when moving the picture
around. (i.e. it doesn't change like it normally does) None of the

I installed the package 'beep' in ibex since I used it a lot in hardy.
However when I went to use it I discovered I would get the error bash:
/usr/bin/beep: Permission denied
I tried completely removing the package and installing it again in case
anything went wrong but it
I'm not sure if it's the same bug. But when playing .mkv (and probably
other files too) and using pulseaudio (it doesn't crash with alsa but it
also has a audio delay of 1-2 seconds) It seems to freeze more if I
switch desktops while playing. I'm not using compiz and am using ibex.

In kubuntu 8.04 I installed oggconvert using adept. The program once
installed wouldn't load and reported a error about not knowing what the
svg file format was. I fixed it by installing librsvg2-common
Therefore apt-get should list that package as a depends.

feed isn't downloaded (has a red circle with a X in it)

I have a HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-one. It was working fine in Edgy
until it started to print strangely one day. The pictures have a
pinkies hue and faint lines every 3/4ths of a centimeter. I upgraded to

I just installed prboom but it also freezes. Sometimes as soon as the
menu loads and other times when you first try to fire. You can still
control the keyboard lights but nothing else seems to happen. Both
ctrl+alt+F1 and ctrl+alt+backspace seem to do their proper functions
with this problem.

I just installed gutsy last week and noticed that kget often uses 99% of
the cpu. The only way I've found to stop it is quit and load again.
It seems to start after I've run it for a while and gone to offline mode
and back again (though I may be mistaken.) I noticed this

I just used startx over ssh to record any error messages. I was using
blender and tried to switch desktops. Everything froze and ctrl+alt+F1,
ctrl+alt_del didn't work. The mouse was also locked in place. But ssh
still worked so here is the message

DVD size was set to auto and it said the dvd was 8.0GB's. This is using

I just uninstalled powernowd and while I only tested once. Blender ran
for around 6 minutes without freezing. I should also add that I can
render and use boinc for long periods. I've also installed a

I just upgraded my hardware, but since doing so my entire computer locks up
during random times when using blender and firefox. (I haven't used many
programs yet so there might be more)

results come up. Then the text cursor goes from it and you have to click again
to type more. It can also lose its cursor when backspacing. While this isn't
a huge issue it does get annoying.
I'm sorry but my /var/log/messages file was corrupt or for some reason wouldn't
load.
My brother thought it sounded like a broken ide cable/controller. Does this
sound right?

I would like to find the reason for the segmentation fault with Ubuntu's build
of Blender. However I can't find a debugging symbols package for it. Will
making back traces and using Valgrind still work?
Also for the unofficial build. The blender people said they thought it was an
Xlib error,
I fixed the Xlib error, but commenting out wacom tablet support in my
Xorg.conf
About the debug version of ubuntu's build of Blender. Even after adding the
extra source, I couldn't find a debug version of Blender in synaptic.
So I am wondering if I am allowed to make my own Blender debug
