I tried selecting text on the remote computer using just the keyboard,

Hi Christopher,
Thanks for your detailed response and thanks for working on this bug.
This bug isn't present in the desktop cube plugin so I might try to use
it for a while though it's not quite as effect as desktop wall plugin.
Is this bug the reason why workspaces have been disabled by default
Sorry about changing the bug report status (I reverted it to original
status again afterward). I realized that the fix was scheduled to be
released in compiz 0.9.11 and Saucy is running compiz 0.9.10.

I can assure that the patch works but the the checkgmail notifier isn't
visible which might be due to unsatisfied dependencies which also
include libgtk2.
The following error is obtained:
Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: pixmap,

Posted it in a hurry. Clearly it's a warning and not an error. Also
please ignore the mention of libgtk2 in previous comment. Sorry about
that.

I am using Lenovo Ideapad Y550 laptop which has Nvidia GeForce GT130M
graphics card. This card worked perfectly with Ubuntu 10.04 with no
problems whatsoever. But Now I can confirm the same bug on my system
with the latest maverick rc build. Since only 3 days are left for the
final release I fear
I have read the complete thread and gone through all the procedure of
solving this problem but am unable to get my graphics card working on
the restricted nvidia binaries. I am now going to downgrade my xorg-
xserver but that is not a fix but a workaround and am not sure if it
works. I am using
