I can confirm I am experiencing the same issue on a Dell XPS 13 9340. I
WAS able to make the camera work on 24.04; however, I am unable to make
it work on 25.05. There are MANY people affected.

confirmed here... did a clean install of gutsy from tribe 5 cd, did all updates
and now the window manager behaves completely messed up. no problems yet with
firefox, but terminal multiple screens wide, so i tried to completely remove
and reinstall it. now i got a "normal" window size, but the i

brian. the problem still exists - better, it existed 'til i switched
from the SMP-kernel to the 386 without smp. after that step, ndiswrapper
and my dongle worked properly without any problems. i could install the
686-kernel again
had freezes with multiple usb-dongles (dwl-g132 one of them), just
installed 386-kernels, not 686, everything works form now on. seems to
be a problem with SMP.

now i did this the other way round:
removed all ubuntu-repos from my sources.list (after backing it up :D),
added the beryl-repos posted above, did a apt-get clean (forgot to
mention it above), apt-get update, installed beryl and everything works
like a charm.
so actually: it's the original ubunt
i just uninstalled all not-ubuntu-beryl-packages, removed the beryl-
project-repo, removed all settings-files, did a apt-get update und
installed all the dependencies of the beryl-metapackage.
still the same problem.

recently installed ndiswrapper from repos. dlink-dongle is plugged in,
driver installed. no wlan0 shows up, even though ndiswrapper -l shows
driver installed/device present messages. so i unplugged and replugged
the dongle which led to a kernel oops. reproducable every time.
forgot to notice that i upgraded from 2.6.20-11-generic to
2.6.20-12-generic, too.

Time for a friendly "me too". Just tried to access a NTFS-Partition
