Aggh! This is a slippery one. It also might have something to do with
the file length?
When I uploaded those files/playlists I put up the whole songs, but I
was concerned with a legal issue so I went back and shortened them to
30s clips. And then the playlists would stream! Keep in mind this is

Bit of followup: I ran the installer again, and tried a less complicated
manual configuration and got the same result.
But, the alternate install CD was able to handle my config ( / mounted

We have a few confirmations so far, so I'm marking it as such. This is a
fairly high priority regression from Dapper for us Thinkpad users (and

Its back at it, so I put the status back to Needs Info.
I typed out as much of the terminal as I could, and attached it to the
next comment. I've tried with 2.6.17-(7|9|10), but only 2.6.17-9
actually manages to suspend (and only about 25% of the time).
The output from lshal is over here:
Wow, this one has been sleeping for a while. After checking that it was still
happening on my up to date Dapper machine, I got this output from locale:

Hmm, should have thought about this a little longer before posting: I
just got a message that I am out of battery, but it appears to have come
up because my second battery just became fully discharged. Now the
laptop is running on my first battery.
This could mean that gpm is reporting battery

Thanks a lot for all of your upstart work. We'll all be very proud if a
few other distributions pick it up as well, but even if they don't:
Ubuntu will have the best around.
And thanks for fixing this one ;)

Hmm, it appears that as of today's update, this is no longer an issue.
The machine is now suspending, hibernating and resuming just as it was

When you start up the non-graphical emergency root terminal, it tells
you you can type exit to 'leave' the terminal (it might say reboot, I

I'll happily get more, but I'd rather copy/paste than write/type... =)
