It's great that you've managed to find a way to integrate gxine -- my
only real reason for pushing totem-xine over gxine was the integration

Bugs,
How did you get gxine to play automatically in Hardy?
Every time I tried, totem-gstreamer wanted to play the DVD instead. The
only way I could get gxine to play a DVD was to specifically select
gxine from the "Sound and Video" menu.

OK, I've been through the docs again, and there's no reference to the

Can't find any reference to "Storage" at the moment, but under "Playing
DVDs" in the musicvideophotos.xml file the instructions refer to the
multimedia tab.
I've been proof-reading the Hardy documentation, and helping to correct
errors, hence this bug report.

Here's an off-the-wall suggestion that *might* work!
I tried replicating your problem on one of my own systems, and came up
with a screen that looked very similar to your screenshot.
Try uninstalling the "yelp" package, which will probably uninstall four

There is an option under "Mouse Keys" in the Keyboard Preferences
utility that reads "Allow to control the pointer using the keyboard".
I feel that this should be rewritten to read "Allow control of the
pointer using the keyboard".
Worked for me as well -- no problems now.
Many thanks!
