Download driver and --buildpkg for your dist.
From a directory with the package,
fglrx-updates-core_14.201-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb
1) make a place to unpack the package,
mkdir tmp

nwm. Solved.
I used the beta driver cause i had problems installing the stable one.
Install 13.12 from amd site.
amd-catalyst-13.12-linux-x86.x86_64.run --extract catalyst

I think this may have something to do with the upgrade to 10.04. I
completely reinstalled the OS after I received mine, the sound worked
fine in 9.10, but not in 10.04 reinstall. What I do remember is that the
9.10 had two hardware drivers installed under the hardware drivers in
the system menu.
I can no longer test this issue, as I no longer own the Acer Aspire One
AO751h.

Have used USB headset for recording using soundrecorder. This works, but
playback does not from within application. Saving as .ogg and playback
using VLC works. Sound using VLC works. Playback using digital optical
output works. Playback using analog output works. Playback using both

than with the actual hardware. I have tested with another machine, and
USB sound input and output works, but not from within the system test
application.

If I add a new user, thst user has no icons in evolution at all. All the
