The kernel panic happens after the machines has been running for a
while. Sometimes just a few hours, sometimes a several days. Don't know
how to trigger the crash.
The machines have special boot setup. We use a small handcrafted Linux
distro for booting Ubuntu via kexec. Maybe some cruft is left

I'm experiencing the same problem. It worked in 10.04 and I'm pretty
sure I had done any special configuration.

This is how i discovered this bug:
1. Start downloading of a file, eg. http://www.bakketun.net/test/test50.zip
2. Select "Open with"
3. When the download is complete the file is opened as expected.

The binary release of version 19e downloaded from
http://common-lisp.net/project/cmucl/downloads/release/ works.
Any older version does not work. This might be due to a bug fixed in 19e or
because the old version has been built on too old system.
