Yep, re-confirmed.
I just made sure that ntpd is not started by /etc/network/if-
up.d/ntpdate by commenting the line and now ntpd comes up nice in the
boot process after bind and I am good.

laptop panel brightness changes multiple times
I can second that. The problem definitely still exists with the latest
backports version.
Machine is a Dell XPS M1330 notebook.
I did not yet spot a "Microcode HW error" like balmy_fool, but I do get
two different SW errors:

quitting) kmail will freeze and I have to kill it.
It turns out that kontact is started in the background which then tries to
start kmail again. I had to kill kmail a total of 5 times to get rid of the

(jpeg) is to execute kview. But on kubuntu the kview application is not
installed, gwenview is.
I suggest to alter the default configuration so it works for a default

After logging in again it started working. No clue why.

changed which grabs the key for switching tabs. Which I think is a
