The kind people on #ltsp pointed out that this is caused by having all
users in the same main group instead of each user its own group.
This behaviour is expected, and will not be changed. The solution is to
make sure every user has its own group, also on an ldap setup.

I used to have troubles with my acer Travelmate until i used the acerhk
driver. This driver can be downloaded at http://cakey.de/acerhk/
Then i was able to control the led via following command:
echo 1 > /proc/driver/acerhk/wirelessled
i also putted "options ipw2200 led=1" in /etc/modprobe.d/ip

When a user on one thinclient plugs in a local device, the devices icon appears
on each desktop. This is extra annoying for the floppy icons, since now every
user has about 20 floppy icons on the desktop.
This behavior started since upgrading to

The dialog for the new name comes up and a new name can be entered. Pressing
the Ok button will close the dialog box but nothing else happens.

to play MP3 files as mentioned above.
Amarok asks to install MP3 support and seems do so.
Deleting the file "catalog.cache" in ~/.xine resolves the issue

The kind people on #ltsp pointed out that this is caused by having all
users in the same main group instead of each user its own group.
This behaviour is expected, and will not be changed. The solution is to
make sure every user has its own group, also on an ldap setup.
They mentioned that they w
changed to hardy..
So for now,
the "cleaning up" step takes like for-ever.
