I just proposed a number of changes which seem to handle CJK font preferences a
little bit better. These changes includes an updated 65-nonlatin and the
language-specific config files for zh and ja. Different from language-selector,
these config files can be installed simultaneously

I used update-manager to upgrade my 8.10 to 9.04. Unfortunately, the
system hanged when starting X after the upgrade.
My video card is a Radeon HD 4650, I installed Catalyst 9.3 in 8.10.
After the upgrade, seems all the fglrx drivers
I just upgraded to 9.04, the problems seems to be disappeared.

Chinese sans/serif be the same under en locals and zh locales?

64-ttf-arphic-uming.conf makes Uming default sans-serif over wqy-zenhei
My DVD writer had stopped working since 8.04. Now, after upgrading to
8.10, the same probelm still prevent me from burning DVD.
I tried with K3b and Brasero, both of them failed with error message

I confirm this bug. It used to work perfectly when logging on my office
desktop via ssh tunneling. But after this update, the window flash
quickly and disappear, crashed with no error message.

struggling for days), all Fn combination for acpi are not working.
Before the new fixes being committed, is there a way to downgrade my
kernel back to 2.6.24-10 on Hardy? synaptic only has 2.6.24-11 and
