Don't know if the bug i'm experiencing is the same. The system freezes,
hard lockup, (no log entries) almost randomly. The freezes happen more
frequently when amule is open. I got this bug since i changed hardware

I have the same repeated gdm sound when switching user. I tried to stop
it killing the gdm-greeter process but nothing changes. The only way I

I think it is not a bug of Ubuntu: libg15 and libg15render (as binary package)
are never distributed by Ubuntu.
I think you built the packages from upstream, which debian/ was not really
policy compliant (i.e. without soname in package name).
For this reason it never show up in my tests.

Hi,
I have the same behaviour on gutsy 64. Anyway if i rightclick on the border of
wengo window, minimize and afterwards maximize again it, the program fit
normally only one desktop-workspace.
Also the window borders appear. (see attachm. 2)

I'm using Feisty (amd64) with almost no problems now. I suffer sometimes
of lockups (hard) (not found yet why, but i thinks it's not related to
the motherboard). However i tried recently to boot a feisty live cd with
no luck and haven't investigated much. I will however test the new
ubuntu release

I'm on a Asus A6km, running Ubuntu 7.04 (installed from scratch) and I
think i'm running through the same problem reported above.

I managed to boot linux without kernel panic with no acpi=off. I was wandering
in the bios settings when i tumbled over "Interrupt 19 Capture" that was
"disabled". Enabling it "resolved" the kernel panic.
I would like to stress that the bug is still present whether it can be a bios
or a kernel

The problems are still there: the same exact problems. I thought it was
because of the upgrade to the new feisty kernel 2.6.20-9, BUT after

The bios is up to date (v0804 - 2007/01/26). It crashed also with previous bios
version (712 if i remember correctly). No crash with edgy kernel (2.6.17-10 and

off and I try to restart it amule crash during the "downloading nodes".
