I don't know if important but in Xorg.0.log at some point I read:

Same error for me. I have an Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 with a sata II hard
disk and a pata dvd writer on ide1.
The motherborad mounts a JMicron 20360/20363 AHCI Controller, but I
