Seems to be in Natty. I got here googling for a solution to my X-crash-
when-emacs-is-started problem.
Uninstalling xfs did the trick.
I'd better start on that backlog of real work now, then... *sigh*

Hmm. After doing 'apt-get autoclean', 'apt-get autoremove' and 'apt-get
install -f', things seems to be ok. Could it have been that the xorg-
files were too large for some cache under /var or something, and that
after some freeing of space the install went through better? Everything
seems ok for

one host (Dell LCD screen) to which I again added two

I also caved in and inserted a new pci-card with a USB 2.0 controller

Two really surprising things happened: First, I would have thought it
necessarry to disable the onboard (motherboard) USB controller, since
that was the one not working with ehci_hcd. (I base this on the fact

file transfer on USB disk slows down with gvfs
I think this has to do with problems with ehci-hcd, maybe in connection
with particular kernels and or motherboards and or chipsets... not sure.
When I remove this module, the drive works properly, maybe on
1.1-speeds, but at least it works...
