I did not realize before but I've had an update the 2012-05-30 and the package gnome-settings-daemon was updated (from 3.4.0 to release 3.4.2-0ubuntu0.1) and the file /usr/lib/gnome-settings- daemon-3.0/keyboard.gnome-settings-plugin restored. Since I have no more issue. Confirmed for you ? dpk
