Ekiga doesn't even start up when I have that actual webcam plugged in, it just
hangs (camorama shows the video so the camera is okay I guess).
However Ekiga works with my other webcam, colors fine too, just low
framerate for some reason (the camera can do 30fp

The was for 2.6.15 which I don't have anymore. On edgy (2.6.17) quick tests
show that this can be corrected by the webcam software too, not just the module:
gqcam shows swapped blue/red while camorama shows the colors right.
I will wait a little and test it with Feisty, I think/hope there will be
sorry for the formatting, launchpad was not really helpful, did show
something else for me...

Timo: I played with it a little and I could eject the disc quite some
times in a row (no terminal opened), then I opened the terminal from
nautilus and I couldn't eject it afterwards. Don't know if this helps

I just wanted to report this very bug. It is pretty much the same on
Dapper. I have "put display to sleep" enabled in Power Manager, and
that's what happens when whatching a movie with totem. (gnome-
screensaver is disabled, pointless when one has DPMS)

Confirmed, I just installed latest edgy beta, then upgraded it, and it's the
same.

just putting a DVD in the drive, whatching the contents in nautilus, and

I've seen jerky xcursor animations too a long time ago, I was probably
using ATI's binary too at that time, and the Silver xcursor theme. Since
then I changed the #$^#* ATI card, and using the default cursor theme at
the moment. Life is better without those binary drivers, try the
opensource stuff!
I agree with it. It is pretty hard to adjust a mouse with these 2 settings.
Some users just want a linear speed configuration and that's all. I can not use
my Logitech Cordless MouseMan Optical because I either:

I'm not sure I got you. The strings gdebi gives the user are wrong,
whatever it uses. I'll attach 2 screenshots to show the problem. The one
shows 0/s which really wants be 0bytes/sec (sorry I couldn't do a 20/sec
screenshot right now, but you get the picture). The other shows 211k/s
which is basic
Nobody seems to agree with this behavior, must be specific to my own partition
scheme.

acpi -V shows battery1 before suspend-to-ram and says nothing about battery
after resume. Our hardware seems not to be supported in this case.

I found the problem. Enabling the option "Automatically check for new
mails every X minutes" makes that account check for new mail on startup
too. The description string should let the user know this, but it's not
really a bug, it's just a wrong description, so I'm closing this report.
