After completely wiping my SSD (backing up my /home to my 1.5TB external), installing 12.10 from scratch, installing all updates in that, upgrading to 13.04, installing all updates in that, and then installing the nvidia-current driver, everything works perfectly again. Oddly enough, after installing those other kernels, the behavior exhibited by 3.7.05 as originally reported is now occurring with rc2. I think there may be something wrong with my installation as my results are inconsistent. Input devices, however, only work with rc2. They are broken with anything

rc3, rc4, rc5 and rc6 behave exactly like rc7, with graphics working and no mouse/keyboard input what-so-ever. Not even alt-sysrq-b works. I can tell that networking is still broken because the network monitor says "Disconnected, you are offline.". I installed all of the packages for each kernel. I

I'm assuming that you want me to find the release candidate which introduced the bug. I'm going to go ahead and test out rc6 ... rc3 and post a report for each one. That should help you figure out which commit was problematic. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubun

The bug exists in rc7, but unlike rc2, the Unity desktop actually works, and my graphics display. In addition to the networking not working in rc7, my mouse and keyboard inputs do not work once I reach the desktop. In fact, I had to press the power button and wait 60 seconds for it to automatically

It might get a little difficult to tell which version is which when booting my system with all of these long names, but I'd be willing to test out a few different kernels for you. I think it would be easier to just pull a kernel with the bug fixed into 13.04, but I'll try out these kernels anyways.

I'd like to perform a kernel bisect to identify the commit that introudced this regression. 3.7.0-5 was rebased to upstream v3.7-rc8. Can you test v3.7-rc7 to see if it also exhibits this bug? http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.7-rc7-raring/ -- You received this bug notification b

It's fixed when using the linux- image-3.7.0-030700-generic_3.7.0-030700.201212102335_amd64.deb package.
