I just thought I'd add that I'm running Intrepid right now and I'm experiencing no problems with audio - the new kernel seems to work just fine with the Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard. The only way I was able to resolve the bug on Hardy was to recompile with the mentioned patch. -- Ubuntu Hardy
