four years of design study in the area of colour theory.

I have to agree that the wallpaper is sad and depressing. Simply
altering the saturation, however (+75), improves the situation
dramatically, at least to my taste.

I think that the gdm theme looks better than the previous one. Possibly
if the wallpaper had similar colored circles it might look pretty good.
What spoils the wallpaper is the green and magenta circles. The green is
especially distracting. The shade of brown used in the wallpaper seems
to look alr

Confirmed. The default wallpaper is terrible and it does not conform to
the Ubuntu look at all. A new ATTRACTIVE theme was promised for this
release and I agree that there is still plenty of time to fix this.

Agreed. The actual work looks more like a loveless plan B. While I like
the idea with the swirl the colors totally destroy it.
27 days should be enough to pep up the wallpaper and gdm background.
