I use a Lenovo X200s and have consistent problems with hibernation in Karmic. It will usually hibernate successfully once or twice but then it crashes on resume. Suspend usually works okay, but I have had suspend crashes as well, albeit less frequently. I have tried the default hibernation scheme

Again... Maybe it's a coincidence, but it started happening only when I started using the xfce-power-manager icon from the panel. That icon allows me to have a locked screen after resuming, which is nice. But maybe it causes (part of) the problem by sending some wrong messages somewhere? **

I installed Karmic on a fresh HD, but I haven't done any updates since that install from the iso - perhaps it's running a stale kernel as well. I've been putting off Jaunty's kernel updates since they showed up - I hope to get to that this weekend and see if there's any change. I'll check out
