Charlie, I only know MS Windows. I don't know how to attach files in Linux - - is it possible when the system won't boot (come up)? I really want to get off the expensive MS band wagon... If you can let me know how to get the info off my PC when it won't boot (I'm get the kernel must load

I am sorry. I did realize you were unable to get to the login screen. At the grub menu, hit the arrow keys to highlight the menu line. Then hit 'e' on the keyboard. Arrow down to the line that starts with 'linux /boot/vmlinuz '. Hit 'end' to go to the end of the line, then backspace to get rid
