Sorry, maybe I'm blind, but I don't see the check disc option. After booting from either the live CD or USB stick, I am only given the options to try or install ubuntu. I can go to the system settings on the shut down menu and select either disk utility or system testing, both of which I tried

I am reluctant to run the 11.04 install having got 10.04 working again. It would be ok if the installer still offered the option to install 11.04 alongside, but now it only offers to replace 10.04. and it took me two days to get it back. I have tried checking the disk, the results are attached.

Having tried many combinations all ending in the same file system creation error and managed to destroy the GRUB in the process. I used Vista recovery to get back Windows, then used 10.04 live CD give me Disk Utility. With that I removed all the Linux partitions, except the last swap file that
