Hey, sorry about that Bryce. I am running Gutsy AMD64 and have no
problems. It can't standby, but it hibernates. But that matters little
to me.

Hi,
Can you describe in more detail the problems you are having and then
steps you tried before you encounter the bug?
Do the following steps work?
1) ctrl+alt+F1
2) type in username + password
3) sudo reboot

Well, in full detail, the boot-up screen is greyscale and incomplete -
the progress bar looks like a bunch of artifacts.
The login screen then appears as normal - in color - and then I can
enter Ubuntu. I can even use Beryl. The problem I have is when I am
shutting down.
The bug has appeared
Ok, so I did
1) ctrl+alt+F1
2) type in username + password
3) sudo reboot
and this is an error I found:

My processor is an Intel Pentium D 805 processor, as well.

I even typed in a terminal
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart
and it did the same thing. I'm not sure if this confirms anything, but I
figured I should add it.
