Sorry about the attachment spam. My attachments from Dell Optiplex 960 are not
valid for this Zenbook issue so I hid them (though I updated Dell's BIOS as you
suggested).
I tried to reproduce bug #989443 with Ubuntu 13.04 (and succeeded partly), and

an update is available for your BIOS (A17). If you update to this, does
it change anything?

Thanx! Now problem is not so big, because after reinstallation of the
system HDMI out works, but only if I connects to it after full X load.
If HDMI cable connected during booting - my internal monitor didn't

Also I get notebook to my office and tryout to connect two different
monitors via HDMI (23" and 47") via the same cable. Everything is
perfect. This situation appears only at home with Asus ML239h

via HDMI.

Okay, I don't know in which kernel the bug exists or how to reproduce or fix
it, but I know it's there. Sometimes switching between kernels from boot to
boot enables external display to work with X (display cable connected all the
time). Sometimes it needs several boots and kernel switches befor
I found a fix for problem. When enabling sata alpm, the external display
with HDMI works. If you want to get also internal display working,
connect external display after you have logged in to X. This fix works
for precise's and upstream's kernel.
Fix: "echo SATA_ALPM_ENABLE=true | sudo tee /etc/p
Okay, I tested the problem more. With upstream kernel, I can get the
picture to external display with HDMI if I boot the computer display
connected. But this way I can't get picture to internal display, even
though Ubuntu display manager recognizes internal display and extends
the screen to both of

Tested with the latest upstream kernel, and the problem exists, (though
I was able to get it once working after several LightDM restarts and
