I am of the opinion that this bug is critical, as one can no longer boot
off of an evms drive in feisty as it stands now. Existing systems
deployed with EVMS as root will simply not boot and drop to an initramfs
console.

Oops, that might be slightly confusing. Basically, I meant that nothing had
changed since this morning. i.e. it was showing the dialog where before it

Well, in the end, it fails the seamless test for me. It crashed on reboot and I
had to roll it back to kernel 2.6.10 in order for it to boot up again. It

Putting compiled versions of the elisp under /usr/share/emacs21/site-

it assigns the drives as /dev/hda1 instead of /dev/sda1 but is a quick

I have a ATi Radeon 9200 video card and I too had this problem with the
7.04 beta (not with edgy). The problem appeared both when booting from
the live cd and when running it for the HDD. The 16 bit color depth hack
worked for me too.

I just noticed the problem as well. There is about 5 seconds delay when
ssh to a local server. After changing "GSSAPIAuthentication yes" to
"GSSAPIAuthentication no" in /etc/ssh/ssh_config, ssh login is almost
instantaneous.
