I was just noticed this problem on my Gutsy system. I think the
answer's here already but not entirely intuitive. To do a sync "now",
you have to go to "manual" mode and hit "synchronize now". I saw my
time change when i did that. Then you can go back to "keep
synchronized" mode if you want.

non-existing xml file.
If the file doesn't exist, it can't calculate its md5sum, it can't bzip2 it and
it can't rename it

Actually, this isn't fixed for me:
I had gutsy development version and blender 2.44 both windowed and
fullscreen instances run in fullscreen for me. I've installed blender
2.5 from getdeb.net and the problem persists.

I just opened an ISO-8859-1 file on UTF-8 locale. Most of the text was
in plain ASCII so I did not notice that anything is wrong. I did some

sorry for not being able to test the last version earlier. If i remember
correct, I have the same configuration as David (inspiron 5100 and ATI
Radeon 7500 Mobility), and i can confirm too that the latest version
(xserver-xorg-video-ati_6.7.195+git20071020tv) is working without the
LVDS-op
