I also think I'm having this problem. I'm currently running a fully
updated Hardy with 2.6.24-16 kernel. I can connect the the wireless
network at my house (D-Link router, 802.11g with WPA-TKIP) but cannot
connect at my parents house (D-Link, 802.11b, WEP 64bit HEX). I never
had any problems
My keyboard preferences Have 'USA' and 'USA Dvorak' (labeled USA2, in
the taskbar). After restart, I can still select USA or USA2, but
without effect. Both have just the qwerty layout.

when using the nvidia free driver (Open Source one) for my GeForce 6100
nForce 430 (rev a2) with 128 MB shared RAM.

My situation is that I have a Vigor 2800vg ADSL router and wireless AP.
I have configured it with a 63 character ASCII key (WPA2 only, AES)
previously it was configured with a 64 hex character key (WPA and WPA2)
and this had been working
Correction:
I have the old passphrase in my *default* keyring and presumably a hex
version of the new passphrase in my *login* keyring (and I have no idea
what the distinction is). I'm not sure how this happened but it would be
useful if NM used the passphrase it saved rather than one it did not.
Confirming this for the current version (0.9.6-2). Although I get
different error messages on my 32 bit system:

'cln::floating_point_overflow_exception'
what(): floating point overflow.
for exp(1e10) and the same with underflow for exp(-1e10).
Firefox is still segfaulting here after watching 2-3 youtube videos with
flashplayer 10 beta. Tested it with and without libflashsupport

kernel oops on booting
I think I know what is the cause of these freezes - desktop effects. I
haven't such problems when I disabled desktop effects. It took few
minutes to system freeze after that, when I desktop effects enabled.

Can I get the ati driver from Gutsy to run in Hardy? If I could find the
Gutsy ati driver, could I somehow replace the newer driver with the
older without having to recompile?
It seems reasonable, but I really don't want to kill my laptop
completely.

I am trying to set up an IMAP resource to company mandated Exchange 2003
server. Unfortunately, I bet more than a few of us have the problem :(
It would be good if the groupwarewizard were updated to handle this as
well.

Confirmed still happens on Kbuntu 8.04 w/Compiz.
meisterplanlos' fix from above (disable Compiz's main run 'key binding', and
bind alt-f2 to the dcop command line in Compiz's 'commands') works a treat.
Interestingly, I have the same problem at work on OpenSUSE 10.3 so will
try the same fix there
