I'm using the Screenlets Output applet (Widget-like mini-applications
for GNOME) ... it also has problems with the new version. Not critical
... it works ... just lost the 3d look ... but maybe other tools also
have problems with the update

configuration, and the steps I follow to make plasma-widget-network-
manager work:

I've activated backports and propousals and update everything. After
that, i've rebooted and the ATI driver is working. In fact, I didnt need
to use jockey. When I open Hardware Drivers the ATI driver was already
activated.

I am using a different hardware in the meantime. Also kaffeine is not in
use currently. Please feel free to close this bug report. - I will
reopen it if I expierience simiilar problems and add the desired
