test would be the latest 3.2 stable kernel[0], to ensure the bug still

I have same problem as Andrey Karpenko. The buttons which are supposed
to make the display brighter don't work.. it worked on Ubuntu 12.08.. I
am new to Ubuntu. I made the screen brighter by substituting 'echo 0'
with 'echo 4000' but is it possible to make the buttons work?
