DDC works wrong with Acer AL1916 monitors
The problem persist for me (#285) even with the latest karmic proposed.
This bug is definitely not solved! As I wrote before I am happy to send
some logs if you specify what is needed. Long time without internet
access at home...

Several Huawei USB dongle don't work with kernel 2.6.31-12.40
My temporary solution for the problem is to add the following line to
the start on-field of the /etc/init/gdm.conf:
and stopped rc RUNLEVEL=[2345]
This causes gdm to not start until all legacy System V-style init
scripts finished. So booting is a little bit slower but it works.

Hm,
it is very strange. Now, an aptitude update aptitude dist-upgrade
went well but I in kdm I could not use the keyboard. So, I rebooted and
then grub told me:

What is circular about this bug? Somebody said that (in #172258) that
the bug is a duplicate, but it isn't. For 32-bit the error was fixed, so

More or less the problem I'm having. Seems to be associated with events

Yes, seems to only affect the first suspend operation between total shutdowns.
Not sure if these are also bugs, but:
1. If I suspend by closing the lid I'm asked for a pswd upon resumption,
whereas suspend by selecting suspend in shutdown menu does not require a
pswd to resume.

sorry for the delay: thanks for pointing that out! my home dir really
seems to be encrypted in addition to the LVM thing. No idea how I ended
up with this.
This whole thing got a new quality after upgrading to Karmic. I went to
check whether auto-login worked after the update, only to

Ok, I've tested my Acer AL1916 screen, maximum 1280x1024 on Karmic and
it still does not work as it should.

On an Debian system i Se same error.
doing
rmmod -v ehci_hcd ; modprobe -v ehci_hcd
(note if using usb keyborad do this as a oneliner)
