Unfortunately it doesn't help. I changed the line alias net-pf-10 ipv6 to
alias net-pf-10 off in
/etc/modprobe.d/aliases and insured myself that the ipv6 kernel module has not
been loaded after reboot. vmware-guestd still crashes after a few seconds.

Matthew, Mark, (or anyone else from the design team)
I'm interested to know where you are going with security updates long
term in Ubuntu.
The old behaviour was broken because it cluttered the notification area
and most users didn't understand it etc.
But the current behaviour is IMHO also
a / part with 2.1G but this
was not enough.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gaim
This is the first time GAIM crashes. I just returned from standby (5 min
or so), and was surfing with Firefox. At some point I saw a screen going
away, heard my hard drive rattling, and saw the bug report screen.
I don't know if anybody can do

I just upgraded to kubuntu feisty beta, and it appears that when the
number of icons in the system try changes (like, when I stop skype, or
start ktorrent), the icons suddenly all line up in a single line, when
they were lined up in two lines
