the GPLv3 Windows program InfraRecorder I am able to burn a CD at the
following speeds: 16x, 8x, 4x, 2x, 1x.
Using the same CD tray when booted into Ubuntu, Brasero only offers 16x

More info: This usb wifi adapter/chipset worked in 9.04. It did not
and has not since 9.10. This is a regression.

Yes, a disconnect feature is what it needs. My problem is essentially
solved in that I can now get it to work in manual mode.
As far as design goes, it seems there are two problems. In manual mode,

Ok, now I don't think this is a bug, just me not using the applet
properly. It was my habit to right-click and enable/disable networking
to connect/disconnect. I see now there is a difference between
enabling/disabling networking and actually connecting/disconnecting from
a particular network.
This problem is affecting me as well, but I don't get a blank screen,
but can only see the background image. The gnome panels disappear, and
you can only use ALT-F2 to get a command window to change the settings.
Setting the screen res back to 1024x768 doesn't cure the problem, but

I have now tested with 10.04 ga. This bug is still there.

My observations: It appears that both the RaLink provided driver and
the open source driver for this device are being loaded. If the open
source driver(s) is blacklisted then the device works.
Hi,
as i tried Karmic (x64) on my 'new' computer i encountered exactly the same
problem: The first suspend (S3) is working fine, but the second one crashes the
computer. I tried Ubuntu Jaunty CDs (live CDs, 32bit and 64bit) as well, it
shows exactly the same behaviour. This happens as well if

This bug also affects the Vaio VPCY11M1R, with the same chipset Realtek
ID 275.
Installing the latest version of Alsa from source makes the speakers
work, but not the internal microphone, nor external mike as well.

Yes, the problem is still there, in exactly the same form with all
patches applied.
I get the exact same error message whenever I try to create a new VM
with KVM.

The problem has gotten worse if you look at this other bug report
575162, as now it fails to allow me to create a VM at all, right at the
end of the creation process, from the CLI or with Virt-manager.
