I've been digging through the code a bit. The method get_changelog does
the following:
1. Get the version of the binary package.
2. Get the version of the source package.
3. Compare both versions.
4. Use the highest version to get the changelog file.

Replicable steps for me getting this same error:
1. Install Wubi with Hardy Heron
2. Update Hardy until ~June 25th, 2008.
3. sudo update-manager -d -- close all programs and let install happen
4. Boot manager into Ubuntu (other OS, Win XP SP2)
5. Gets you into initramfs and not into Ubuntu

Update to my previous post:
The debian source package seems to have a broken build dependency on
libncursesw while ccmake is actually linking against libncurses. This is
why it builds for me (I happen to have libncurses-dev installed) but not
on the buildbot.
So we need to wait for debian to fix

report isn't useful to us, because it raises several different issues at
once. These issues wouldn't all be fixed at the same time, so they
should be tracked separately.
When you have reported a bug, you can report another from
Dylan, I believe you can avoid re-editing the kernel option every time
you get a kernel update by inserting i8042.nomux=1 in your default
kernel options in the menu.lst file (it's in the commented part of
automagic). I did not try it yet myself as there has not been a kernel

To reproduce the bug do the following:
With krfb installed and enabled, connect remotely using any
@.cobnet, Kristian Erik Hermansen: I've had the same problem with the
disableofflinemode add-on. Though I could get Firefox to work by checking and
unchecking the offline mode item in the file menu.
So apparently the add-on removed the check mark from the item, but didn't
really disable the
JohnBender, i was wondering how you did that? im okay generally with computors
and can fix minor problems but i have no idea what you're talking about
filename replacing -wise.. i can't even find that folder or whatnot.. could you
please explain?

I've altered the merge so that the removal of kill and start symlinks is
retained. We also need to retain a delta for the explicit runlevel
specification semantically equivalent to that in the deprecated Teardown
spec.

I was a little too fast saying that was the reason. This error message
should not be fatal. Indeed I get it myself running an Intrepid live CD,
and X works fine nonetheless. The next thing in my log is the loading of
the ati driver module.
