Yes seems to be similar.
I have try to scale and move Firefox, gnome-system-monitor and nautilus. But

I installed kernel v2.6.29.1 i386 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/ and that made the webcam available in wxCam, emesene and
Cheese. Skype though shows just some green pixels. Camorama doesn't work
either but that doesn't really matter.

I too experience this with a Sybex Switchview 2port KVM (PS/2) in Jaunty. Seems
to be only in Firefox, not in Epiphany or in other app's. The 'sudo rmmod
psmouse sudo modprobe psmouse rate=100 proto=imps' does help when issued in
the terminal. Where should I put this line so it will be
New here. I am not sure if I should file a new report as it concerns
Ubuntu 9.04. I had a similar problem with Ubuntu 8.10.
Installed 9.04, the problem is still there. What I find is that if the
card is inserted then Ubuntu freezes, and doesn't install. After

I booted the ubuntu 9.04 RC live CD and the touchpad of my Twinhead 10D didn't
work, but the keyboard did.
So I updated with update-manager -d and using the last kernel 2.6.27-11 it
does work.
The kernel 2.6.28-11 really has a bug with touchpad.

acer touchpad not working after upgrade to
Installed Amarok 2.1beta (2.0.90) from the unofficial repository
kubuntu-experimental (mentioned by zdenek.zikan). Besides some stability
issues, scrobbling to last.fm seems to work again without problems.

I switched motherboard and now it works perfect(ASUS P5B Vista edition). What

The supposed workaround remove plasma applet and start knetworkmanager
does not work for me. Knetworkmanager worked for me in 8.10, doesn't in

Yep, I forgot to mention that i did remove the currently running driver
by ordering network manager to close down the wireless interfaces but
unchecking the box when right-clicking on the icon and then just running
a rmmod command in a terminal window. was going to change that but can

I got the same error today, on a 2-day old Ubuntu 9.04 install. However, my
home directory stems from a previous installation, in which I used to share
this folder.
How to reproduce (i think):
- share a folder (installs services)
- uninstall samba services
- go to the folder and open
I have experienced the same problems as described in the first post on a
lenovo Thinkpad W500 (with an ATI FireGL graphics card, incorrectly
identified as a Radeon HD3650) running ubuntu 9.04.
Enabling the restricted ATI driver causes the creation and maximisation
