atenção nesse problema porque o Thunderbird tem um add-on chamado Quote
Collapse que como o próprio nome já diz, compacta todas as mensagens
embutidas no e-mail e coloca um sinalzinho de + ao lado de cada uma
delas.

Não entendi exatamente o problema, mais aconselho a usar o grub2 do próprio
Ubuntu, ele cria o grub com o windows.
Para montar as partições adicione elas no /etc/fstab para que sejam montadas
automaticamente (com os parâmetros corretos é claro).

Tenho um pc para instalar o ubuntu e estou na dúvida se instalo o 9.10 para
depois atualizar, ou se instalo a beta 1 do 10.04 para
Versão Alpha ou Beta jamais será considerada estável o suficiente para ser
instalada em uma máquina de produção.
Se a máquina não é usada única e exclusivamente para testes, instale a versão
9.10 e só atualize para a 10.04 após a versão final.

OK, thanks for following up. Approved, but Chuck, please do not upload
the dropping of --action=change into Ubuntu. Instead, nut's udev rules
should be fixed to do their work on ACTION==change as well.

It looks like you have installed samba4 and samba3 at the same time
which is not possible. You should probably remove samba4.
