I too think that lucid with all it's problems is looking like beta that

Well, I've worked on this in the weekend. I can attach a backtrace at the
moment. After running Evolution for about 60 hours under the valgrind control,
however, the bug has not still shown. So I'm afraid I will have to wait more.

This is still a problem in Maverick on my System. When erasing a DVD-RW,
Brasero says quickly that erasing has finished, but it takes a very long
time 'til it really has. After that, the media isn't detected any more
and don't shows on the Desktop neither I can use it to burn data on it.

When I launch apport-bug (without parameters) a window is shown, so I can
explain the bug I'm experiencing.
