I have updated my drivers, but the problem remains. I have to manually

I experience the same problem in Ubuntu 10.04. QGIS (using gdal) also

--install-layout deb isn't a noop, and you should file a bug report
for debian.
It's effectively a no-op, because dh_pycentral will move the modules
back from local. Is this not what's supposed to happen? I've always
thought that --instal-layout=deb isn't necessary any more.

I have the same problem where my touchpad is not working. This is after
a fresh install of Maverick on a Sony Vaio VPCEE2S1E. The touchpad is
not detected. As I am running 2.6.35.22, the patch provided here does
not work for me. I have tested booting to several flavours of live CD
with the same
