Ok, I'm giving the kernel 3.19 a try. Here is a list of the steps I'm
following according to the information gathered in this thread. Please
tell me if I'm missing something:
- Install the kernel 3.19 from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.19-rc7-vivid/
- Clone the GIT
I've tried the latest version of the driver from Github and I also
experienced a system freeze. On the other hand, it is difficult to
connect to any network, and the traffic is really slow. @Larry: which
kernel version do you recommend for testing the drivers? I'm currently
using
I'm using the 3.16.0-031600rc6-generic kernel with the latest drivers
fetched from github. I can connect to my router, however the speed is
quite slow. It could take a couple of minutes till I get the results of
a google search.
I tried to look at the debug information (using the guidelines in 0)
I see a lot of scans for other networks while connected. Is this normal?

get the same error. Is not only a problem with Google Calendar.
As a temporary solution, killing the e-calendar-factory process and

upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10 and if I try to install it I get:
Package workrave is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from
Julian, suspend is working with kernel 2.6.38-11-generic. Do you want me
to downgrade it to check?

I found out what the problem was. I'm using Xmonad as my window manager, and it
tiles the subscribe window. If I add to my manage hooks
(stringProperty WM_ICON_NAME =? Subscribe) -- doFloat
then the problem disappears.
Now I have two questions:

Sadly that doesn't work for me. The icon appears, but I only get a menu
with two options: Turn Off Bluetooth, and Preferences. If I click
preferences I get a dialog that says Bluetooth is disabled, and a
Turn on bluetooth button. If I press it, nothing changes, and after
choosing preferences again
I upgraded to firefox 4 and I still have the same problem. Furthermore,
after the screensaver is activated I cannot use the firefox menu. To
workaround this I have to switch to a different workspace.

As Toki pointed out, now my own documents, which I produce using
pdflatex as well, have the same problem. If I print using the vieewer
epdfview I have no problem.
